American singer and actress Beyoncé and Adidas have announced a partnership.
As part of the joint project, Beyonce will act as a "creative partner" of the sports brand and will develop new signature shoes and clothing for the sports giant's future collections.
In addition, with Adidas, Beyoncé will re-release her own clothing line, Ivy Park, designed with Topshop owner Philip Green. In the fall of 2018, after Green was accused of sexual harassment and racism, Beyoncé-owned Parkwood Entertainment acquired full rights to the Ivy Park brand.
“For me, working with Adidas is the partnership of my life. Adidas has made huge strides in pushing the creative boundaries. We are committed to a philosophy that puts creativity, growth and social responsibility in business at the forefront. I look forward to relaunching and expanding Ivy Park on a truly global scale with a proven, dynamic leader," Beyoncé commented.
With the announcement of a new partnership with Adidas, the singer joins hip-hop artists Kanye West and Pusha-T, who also collaborate with the sports brand on fashion collaborations. It is Kanye who is credited with launching the worldwide sneaker collection trend in partnership with musicians, artists and pop culture.
