Generation Z shoppers prefer bright color blends, while older generations prefer leopard prints.
By staying at home in quarantine, shoppers from all over the world are changing their habits. Office suits become useless, and comfortable mattresses, comfortable sportswear and backyard tents are growing in popularity. Another trend in the world of fashion and accessories has been noted - the controversial Crocs shoe brand, which many love, but also many hate, began to grow in popularity due to the pandemic.
Crocs sales rose by about a third between April and May, according to fashion search platform Lyst, which lists offers from thousands of online retailers. Lyst even named Crocs as the shoe brand for this spring. At the same time, predicting that the popularity of the brand will remain at least until the fall.
The most popular colors of Crocs, according to Lyst, are classic, floral and leopard. Among the younger generation, bright "crocs" are in demand, combining several colors.
Indeed, few shoes are so strongly associated with the comfort and relaxation of a home environment. In "crocs" you can walk around the house, go out into the garden, they are easy to care for, they are easy to take off and put on. Yes, they are somewhat unsympathetic, but it seems that the desire for comfort wins aesthetic preferences in the eyes of buyers. It is likely that even after leaving the quarantine and starting to join the society, many will prefer not to change their shoes and shoes like Crocs will become a normal thing on the streets, riding another wave of popularity.
This trend is supported not only by ordinary buyers. So, several Crocs wearers were photographed at Copenhagen Fashion Week, Chinese actress Zhou Yutong even wore black Crocs on the red carpet in Shanghai, Instagram bloggers and even celebrities such as Justin Bieber are often photographed in these shoes.
