adidas has collaborated with Star Wars to recreate the iconic Nite Jogger.
The authors of the design were inspired by the image of the imperial stormtrooper, thus once again anticipating the premiere expected by fans at the end of the year with their creativity. The ninth episode of the space epic called "Star Wars: Skywalker. Voskhod" will be released on screens on December 20, 2019. The official release of the new sneakers model will also take place in the second half of December. Sneakers will be on sale in adidas online store and individual branded locations of the brand in limited quantities.
adidas has previously worked with Star Wars on an "intergalactic collaboration". The collaboration was expanded with the release of a new line of Hoops sneakers inspired by Sith and Jejai weapons. The Nite Jogger model itself in the adidas x Star Wars collection already came out this fall in the form of a R2D2 robot.
In a new reading, the sneakers received a minimalistic two-tone black and white color that matches the equipment of attack aircraft. The nose, as well as the back of the model are decorated with patent leather. The model is trimmed with mesh and light-colored suede. Stormtrooper patches are on the outside of the tongues, the same solution used on the Nite Jogger R2D2.
Thin blue threads are used in the middle of the sole, and the well-recognized design of the sneakers is completed by the inscriptions located on the heels with the iconic phrases of the stormtroopers “Set to stun” and “Open the blast doors!”.
