adidas has unveiled the most sustainable version of the iconic Stan Smith ever. Limited edition sneakers explicitly released for Earth Day. It is reported that "organic structures" were used to create the silhouettes.
The new take on the Stan Smith and Superstar was given a soft brown upper and knitted details with the iconic 3-Stripes in white, yellow, green and burgundy.
By creating the newly updated silhouettes, the company also pays tribute to the counterculture of the 70s. Unusual details are present on the tongues and heels of the new profiles. Eco-friendly Stan Smith and Superstar versions have laces made from organic cotton.
Adidas has yet to set an official release date for the new sneakers. Sales are expected to start on the official website in the US in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, some regional markets are already taking orders for the new Stan Smith and Superstar.
