Three stripes is so adorable and yet so strong at the same time.
adidas and Yoji Yamamoto have announced the launch of the Y-3 Atelier project, which celebrates the famous design duo's 20th anniversary. A unique storyline for each season will be at the center of the new line.
The new project will use pieces from the designer's first runway line as the basis, allowing the partners to bridge the existing gap between Y-3 and Yohji Yamamoto.

The first Y-3 Atelier collection will feature reimagined silhouettes of the Japanese designer's sports tops, skirts, pants and dresses. In the new reading, they will get the invariable "three stripes" and futuristic Yamamoto coloring.
"The three stripes are so charming and yet so strong at the same time. In black, three white stripes are so strong. I was thrilled with it," the designer commented.
Celebrating the launch of Y-3 Atelier and the twentieth anniversary of their collaboration, the partners enlisted Japanese photographer Daido Moriyama to shoot the project at a famous restaurant in Shibuya. According to the creators' idea, the new campaign will emphasize the monochromatic color palette and "the desire to find magic in everyday life.
