Joggers, hoodies, and sweatshirts cost around $15-20.
Grocery giant Aldi has launched its own collection of clothing for sports and outdoor activities. The new Aldi Originals line includes tracksuits, hoodies, joggers, as well as basic wardrobe items and sneakers.
Prices for clothes and shoes from the Aldi Originals collection range from $15 to $20.
“With the festive season just around the corner, we wanted to give Aldi shoppers something to smile about – and also prove that you don’t have to break the bank paying high-fashion prices to look and feel the part.” the company’s press office commented.
The project started online and many items sold out in a matter of hours. From November 24, Aldi promises to sell clothes from its own label in retail stores.
For Aldi, this is not the first experience of creating a collection of casual clothes. Previously, the company was noted for the release of the Aldimania line, which also sold out within a few hours.
Aldi expects the new range to be hugely popular and sell out during the pre-holiday period. Last week, the grocery retailer introduced Kevin the Carrot stuffed toys to customers and faced “extremely high demand” with about 70,000 customers “queuing up at the site” to purchase the novelty.
