Surveillance cameras, smart glasses, rings and speakers, headphones and baby lights - Amazon has introduced a lot of new products.
During the annual autumn event, which presents Amazon gadgetsdidn't have to be bored. The company has not stinted on novelties, presenting more than a dozen new products at once, from wearable electronics to small household appliances.
Wearable electronics
The Echo Buds noise-canceling wireless headphones from Bose, which come with a charging case, aroused the greatest interest. From a single battery charge, the headphones can work up to 5 hours, when recharging from the case - up to 20 hours. An important feature is support for Alexa voice assistant.
The Echo Loop and Echo Frames are also designed to interact with Alexa. Both of these devices are equipped with directional microphones that allow you to give commands to a smart assistant. The glasses also have speakers that make it possible to use them as a headset.
Both the glasses and the ring are not stand-alone and require pairing with a smartphone to use them. According to Amazon, these are experimental devices that will be presented in a limited edition for now. If the interest from users is high enough, then mass production will start.
Smart speakers echo
Customers can now choose from a wide variety of shapes and sizes. From the top Echo Studio with Dolby Atmos support to the small Echo Dot. The Echo Show 8 model has an 8-inch screen and will complement the already existing range of smart speakers with screens of 10 and 5 inches.
The smallest member of the Echo family is the Echo Flex Access Point. This device is simply plugged into a power outlet, after which it becomes possible to communicate with Alexa in the room. Echo Flex can also act as a USB charger, for which you can buy separate modules, such as motion sensors.
Other Gadgets
The company also introduced the Ring Indoor Cam surveillance camera, designed to become part of a smart home, and the Amazon Smart Oven microwave, which can be controlled via Alexa. This is the second model of the oven, this time it has a convection support and a fryer. Children will also appreciate the Echo Glow night lamp, equipped with several glow modes and controlled by voice.
And an update to Alexa itself was also announced. First of all, the assistant now has new voices, including the voices of celebrities. And the first star to vote for an assistant was Samuel L. Jackson (there will be two modes - with and without obscene language). Subsequently, other votes will appear, $1 each.
In addition, Amazon revised the Alexa security policy and added support for two languages at once. Thanks to the engine update, the assistant should now become noticeably smarter, he will even learn to recognize emotions by voice.
