There is some information on the web that AMD hired company experts JPMorgan Chase & Co, which should find the best option for further development of the manufacturer of processors and graphics adapters.
So far, only assumptions have been put forward, among which are such as the sale of the company, a gradual departure from the personal computer market to mobile devices, the sale of a portfolio of patents in order to obtain free funds, which AMD is sorely lacking today.
However, the very fact of AMD's cooperation with JPMorgan Chase & Co has not yet been confirmed, representatives of both companies declined to comment.
In the meantime, after rumors about a possible sale appeared, the value of AMD shares immediately grew by 20%. For the first time this year, since the beginning of which the decline was 60%.
