Audi has teamed up with Italian brand Fantic to create an innovative electric mountain bike. In addition to the lineup of electric vehicles in Audi's portfolio, the bike is made of aluminum and equipped with a 36-volt Fantic Integra battery pack. The new bike's electric unit can deliver 90 Nm of torque.
The model provides four levels of electric power, adapting to the conditions and tasks of the rider - Eco, Tour, Sport and Boost, which can be used when riding uphill. Battery status, speed and other key parameters are displayed on a display on the handlebar.
"At Audi, we are boldly striving to be a leader in providing sustainable, premium mobility. Audi's electric mountain bike in collaboration with Fantic is another fantastic example of how we can extend our mobility offerings to customers who go beyond the award-winning models they ride," commented Audi UK director Andrew Doyle.
The Audi RS Q e-tron Dakar is already available. The retail price of the bike starts at $10,313.
