The company has announced plans to use cannabidiol as an ingredient in cosmetics for the Distillery collection.
This was told by the representative of Avon Sandra Cosma on the company's official blog. She emphasized that the popularity of components such as cannabis derivatives is currently gaining momentum in the beauty and skin care industry. While creating Avon products it is planned to actively use such two components as cannabidiol and hemp seed oil.
The new Avon Cannabis Sativa Oil collection is already on sale. It is based on the use of hemp seed oil and includes a set of beauty products for body care - a cleanser, a day cream, as well as a restoring and soothing hand and body balm. Hemp seed oil contains a high amount of antioxidants, omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, while it is emphasized that this ingredient does not contain tetrahydrocannabinol, a component of cannabis that can cause psychotropic effects.
And another component, cannabidiol, which is considered a powerful anti-inflammatory antioxidant, will be used in the Distillery collection. Batch 429 CBD Oil, a skin care product containing cannabidiol, will soon be part of the collection. The pure beauty brand Distillery, which is based on the idea of using only the highest quality natural ingredients, the production of which does not harm the environment, was introduced by Avon in the fall of 2019. It includes both cosmetics and skin care products.
