Startup Bird has introduced a new original development. This is the first electric bike capable of carrying two passengers at once.
The original novelty was called the Bird Cruiser. The e-bike has a simple, but at the same time original and memorable design, a characteristic feature of which is a large headlight and rather massive 20-inch wheels with hydraulic brakes. The large and soft seat allows, according to the manufacturer, to comfortably accommodate two adults.
Detailed technical data about the vehicle is not yet available, it is only known that the owner of the Bird Cruiser will be able to drive up to 48 km on a single charge of a 52-volt battery. At the same time, it is argued that riding can occur not only on flat surfaces, but also to overcome rather steep climbs. A small LCD display is also provided, which will allow you not only to get all the necessary information, but also to track the route.
The Cruiser is designed to be part of the startup's shared fleet and its Bird Platform program. The manufacturer himself describes his creation as follows - "Designed and engineered in California, the Bird Cruiser is a versatile electric vehicle option that is affordable, easy to drive and comfortable when driving on rough roads."
The electric bike is expected to go on sale this summer and will cost $1,300. At the same time, depending on the market, both fully electric solutions and models equipped with pedals will be available.
