History of the news agency Bloomberg is inextricably linked with the name of its founder Michael Bloomberg, who is one of the ten richest people in the world, according to Forbes. Interestingly, Michael's paternal grandparents emigrated from Russia to America in 1906, fleeing the impending political and economic upheavals. The parents of the future tycoon worked as an accountant and secretary.

Bloomberg is one of the world's largest financial and economic news agencies, providing reports that both individual businessmen and entire companies need. It all started in 1981 with the office Innovative Market Systems, which employed four people, including Bloomberg himself. The services she provided were business consulting.

The emerging technology boom played a huge role in the development of the young company. Many companies were interested in introducing the latest computer systems, but few of them understood in which direction they should develop. Consulting company becomes first major client Merrill Lynch, subsequently repurchasing 20% shares Innovative Market Systems.

In 1986 the company was renamed to Bloomberg L.P. At the same time, its rapid expansion began. Interestingly, Bloomberg did not focus on experienced specialists, but on beginners, knowing full well that they would be much better versed in new technologies.
