The name change is just one step taken by management in an attempt to save a company that hasn't been doing very well lately. The once-legendary BlackBerry devices have been significantly supplanted by solutions from other manufacturers running iOS and Android.
In an attempt to revive the company, it was decided to completely update the software. So, the operating system was rewritten almost from scratch, BlackBerry 10 appeared. At the same time, two new devices were also presented - Z10 and Q10, on which great hope is placed.
