The most anticipated novelties of the year according to an authoritative analyst.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is well known for his fairly accurate predictions about Apple technology. This time he presented a vision of what Apple can please its fans in 2019.
The analyst is confident that the 2019 iPhone models will retain the same screen sizes as the iPhone XS and iPhone XR. This means that we will get 6.5-inch, 5.8-inch and 6.1-inch smartphones. Kuo says all three models will continue to feature Lightning instead of USB-C.
The novelties will receive a frosted glass case without any changes in design, as well as an increased capacity battery. We should expect an improvement in the quality of Face ID. There is a high probability that top solutions will receive a triple camera. Moreover, one of the lenses can be a Time of Flight (ToF) scanner for augmented reality, which allows you to determine the distance to objects.
As for the iPad lineup, Kuo said Apple will release two new iPad Pro models this year with more powerful processors. No other noteworthy updates are planned.
The 9.7-inch iPad model can get a larger 10.2-inch screen. And this means a reduction in the size of the front panel and the possible rejection of the Home button.
In addition, Kuo confirmed earlier rumors that we are waiting for the long-awaited iPad mini update. However, it will not be any significant and will most likely come down to simply updating the processor.
The most interesting updates await us in the MacBook line. According to the analyst, Apple will introduce a new MacBook Pro with a screen from 16 to 16.5 inches with a completely new design. Previously, the company has already released "firmware" with large screens, but then their production was curtailed. To date, the largest diagonal of Apple laptops is 15 inches.
Kuo adds that another update will be a 13-inch MacBook Pro with 32GB of RAM. To date, only 15-inch models have this option.
And the analyst also promised the appearance of a new model of the Mac Pro desktop computer with a modular design, the appearance of AirPods 2 headphones and a new version of the Apple Watch (perhaps even with an updated design). The surprise was his announcement of Apple's intention to return to the display market - we can be presented with a monitor with an impressive diagonal of 31.6 inches. Kuo is also confident in the emergence of a new iPad touch model, Apple does not want to completely abandon the production of players, although this market has almost died.
Well, it all sounds more than interesting. And if all this is true, then Apple and its fans have a busy and interesting year ahead.
