The retail price of "&Drip" in Japan is ¥13,800, which is equivalent to 8,100 rubles.
Coca Cola Company announced the official start of sales in the Japanese market of its crowdfunded coffee machine "&Drip". The model, developed by Nendo designers in partnership with Makuake, is a compact capsule coffee machine for home use. Conceptually, &Drip focuses on quality coffee blends handpicked by professional roasters.
The operation of the new coffee machine is based on the “one touch” principle, which allows you to prepare a cup of freshly brewed coffee with one touch. The specially developed water supply technology maintains an ultra-low oxygen concentration, resulting in a fresh and aromatic cup of coffee every time. As the name of the model suggests, the water supply system in the coffee machine simulates a manual "drip" type of brewing using the circular pouring method.
Thanks to the modern design and technological filling, as well as affordable price, the demand for a new coffee machine turned out to be at a high level. Already in the first week of product testing in Japan, Coca-Cola sold more than 400 units. The retail price of "&Drip" is ¥13,800, which is equivalent to 8,100 rubles. At the same time, a box with 12 coffee capsules is sold on the market at a price of about 440 rubles. Sales of the coffee machine on the Japanese sites Amazon.jp and Rakuten, as well as in the Futakotamagawa Tsutaya Electrics retail chain, will start from December 6, 2019. The company's plans to bring the new product to other markets have not yet been announced.
