The new CX technology will be integrated into all products manufactured by the American brand.
American Shoe lifestyle brand Converse continues to improve, using innovations in performance and functionality. The latest result in this area is the new CX line, which includes three updated versions of the classic Chuck Taylor silhouette - All-Star Disrupt CX, Disrupt CX and All Star CX. The line is based on 3 "F" - form, fit (fit) and functionality.
In order to achieve qualitatively new results in these parameters, Converse used three new materials. First, the CX is a stretchy yet durable synthetic material that wraps around the foot for enhanced durability. Next up is a cushioning foam system that combines polyurethane insoles and a lightweight phylon midsole for double comfort. The silhouette is completed by a new and improved outsole design that works for increased flexibility and durability.
“We have always been a progressive brand, but as we enter the new decade, we see an incredible opportunity to push the boundaries of our own design and product ethos,” commented Phil Russo, Vice President of Design and Innovation at Converse. The company notes that it was possible to achieve a new level of comfort after many years of research and experimentation with innovative materials. Over time, the new CX technology will be integrated into all products that Converse makes.
In the new line, the All Star Disrupt CX takes a look to the future with a bolder design, featuring a raised heel piece designed to be expressive and bold. The Chuck Taylor Disrupt CX is an alternative low-profile style, using a new outsole and upper design for a cutting-edge feel. The third model, the Disrupt CX, combines a sleek upper with an extended heel and translucent trim. All three models are presented in the form of a mixture of black, white and red tones. Additionally, there will be a monochrome version of Converse x TheSoloist, created in partnership with the brand's former designer and streetwear innovator TakahiroMiyashita TheSoloist.
The new silhouettes will be available at retailers worldwide and the Converse online store starting March 19, 2020.
