This American manufacturer has already celebrated its centenary - it was founded in 1903. Kraft was founded by entrepreneur James Lewis Kraft, who spent his early years buying and selling cheese in Chicago. Later, his brothers joined the founder, the company began to expand and the logical idea came to produce their own cheese. Subsequently, the product line was constantly expanded, the name Kraft became more and more popular in the market, including abroad.
In 1988, Kfaft becomes part of the Philip Morris Companies Inc. A year later, the company is merged with General Foods Corporation, which was also owned by Philip Morris. The result is Kraft General Foods, which later became Kraft Foods. After a series of reorganizations, the company becomes independent.
In March 2015, an agreement was signed between HJ Heinz Company and Kraft Foods Group, Inc, resulting in The Kraft Heinz Company.
