The first stage will feature eight virtual images with 3D avatars.
U.S. footwear manufacturer Crocs is entering the meta universe in partnership with cybersports company Gen.G and the Korean division of the Zepeto platform.
The #CrocsXZepeto collaboration will aim to allow users to create personalized 3D avatars using fashionable shoes from the latest Crocs collections. The first phase will feature eight virtual images, which will include the Classic Spray Dye Clog, the Crush Clog and the Crush Sandal. In addition, the collection will include specially designed pieces of clothing for the collaboration.

The campaign will be launched in October: Crocs will offer its customers to be photographed in special booths wearing products from the new collection and to personalize 3D avatars with the Crocs Hat. In addition, a #CrocsxZepeto "Come As You Are UGC Challenge" style contest will be launched, with the top prizes being an LG gram laptop, Crocs shoes and 100 ZEM to use inside the Zepeto platform.
With the new collaboration with Zepeto, the company actually enters Metaverse. Previously, Crocs appeared in immersive and augmented reality spaces, in digital games and products, and opened the Saweetie X Crocs virtual store.
“Our new partnership with Zepeto and Gen. G reflects our commitment to digital innovation and consumer engagement through socially driven digital experiences,” said Tim Malone, Crocs vice president of global integrated marketing.
