The limited edition will be available worldwide at select Dior locations from April 2020.
In the global fashion market, following the previously announced collaboration between Prada and adidas, it became known about another collaboration. The largest manufacturer of sportswear and shoes Nike will team up with luxury fashion house Dior. The shoes from the upcoming Jordan Brand x Dior collection were unveiled by Maison Dior and Dior men artistic director Kim Jones at the launch of the Fall 2020 collection.
The joint creation of the two brands will be called Air Jordan I High OG Dior. The model will be manufactured to the highest standards in a factory in Italy. The fine calf leather that characterizes Maison Dior products will be used in production. The sneakers will be painted in a special gray color that has been characteristic of the fashion house since its inception. The iconic Air Jordan look, featuring the signature winged logo and large swoosh logo on the sides, will be updated with Dior Air wordmark on the tongue. Herself Nike swoosh will be made in Dior Oblique jacquard - it will be the only detail that simultaneously represents two brands. The same element will be used on a smaller scale, being engraved on the insoles of sneakers.

“I like to mix different worlds, different ideas. The Jordan and Maison Dior brands stand for absolute excellence in their respective fields. To bring them together in this special collaboration is to offer something exciting and truly new,” commented Jones.
The limited edition Air Jordan 1 High OG is designed to highlight both the timeless appeal of the model and the symbolic style of Maison Dior, born and existing in the spirit of the times. The model will be released in the year of the 35th anniversary of the release of the Air Jordan and at the same time will mark the debut of the Dior men's collection in the United States.
Through a cross-cultural partnership between France and the United States, Dior and Nike combine haute couture and sportswear to create a common look. The collaboration honors the heritage of both brands equally, with Air Jordan's excellence in athletic footwear innovation and excellence reflected in the Parisian couturier's menswear silhouette. According to Martin Lotti, vice president of brand design for Jordan, the partnership with Dior will offer a new take on basketball style and the blending of expensive streetwear with luxury fashion.
The limited edition Air Jordan I High OG Dior will be available worldwide at select Dior locations from April 2020. The cost of the new product, as well as possible production volumes, are still kept secret.
