Marvel superhero theme parks will open in California and Paris.
Following on from the incredible success of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge theme park, Disney company decided to use one of its most popular film franchises to develop a similar project. The first Avengers themed park is scheduled to open in 2020 at the Disney California Adventure Park in Anaheim.
The new project will include the Avengers headquarters, where Marvel fans can meet their favorite superheroes. One of the main attractions will be WEB (Worldwide Engineering Brigade) – an interactive ride, during which visitors will be offered to fight virtual enemies with Spider-Man, hanging on the web and using a variety of technological gadgets.
In addition to Peter Parker, Avengers Campus guests will meet Black Widow, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Iron Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, as well as the heroes of Wakanda and Asgard. In a specially equipped kitchen, Marvel comic character Hank Pym will prepare unusual dishes of enlarged and reduced sizes. Other details of the upcoming project have not yet been disclosed.
The official opening of Avengers Park in California will take place in the summer of 2020. The New York Disney Hotel: Marvel Universe will be built especially for park visitors. Disney previously announced plans to build theme parks in various parts of the world, including Florida, Hong Kong and Paris, which will also implement the concept of "Avengers Park".
