A voice recorder is a highly specialized technique. Most users are quite satisfied with the recording capabilities provided by mobile phones and players. But for serious work, these devices are no longer suitable, although they can be used "as a last resort."
Dictaphones from different manufacturers, in general, are similar to each other. The design differs, perhaps ergonomics and additional features, but the basic principle remains the same. But to the recorders EDIC mini, produced by the company "Telesystems" from Zelenograd, this does not apply. These miniature devices are distinguished not only by their size, but also by their capabilities - a long recording time (tens of thousands of hours) from a decent distance (up to 9 meters).
The first model, EDIC-mini A2M, introduced in 2004, already had such capabilities. For which she was honored to get into the Guinness Book of Records as the smallest voice recorder. This model, now discontinued, measured 43x36x3 mm and weighed 9 grams.

Dictaphones EDIC mini not very suitable for journalistic activities, but they are very convenient to carry with you all the time and easy to hide. Most of the produced "Telesystems" models can be described as spy models - miniature, with very sensitive microphones and a long period of operation from a single battery charge. Here we should mention such a model as Edic-mini Tiny A27, designed in the form of a wooden box and capable of playing the role of a box. And this box holds up to 35,000 hours of continuous recording (the battery lasts for 4,000 hours) from a distance of up to 9 meters. There are also voice recorders designed in the form of jewelry, stationery and other everyday trifles. Noteworthy are the Solar models, equipped with solar panels, which allows you to remove the limitations of the duration of work from a single battery charge. Edic-mini Tiny Solar was taken with him on a trip to Altai by the famous traveler Fedor Konyukhov, nicknamed the "Russian Heyerdahl". Batteries and chargers are rare in those parts.
"Telesystems" decided to change the approach to the very concept of "dictaphone", turning some models into fashion devices. When creating the cases of some of them, not only metal is used, but also precious woods, as well as leather. If desired, the buyer can order a personal engraving. Devices are sold not in cardboard boxes, but in boxes specially designed for this purpose.

One of the features EDIC mini is the maximum ease of use - most models are equipped with a single button to start / stop recording. All other actions are possible only when the recorder is connected to a computer - the miniature size and the specifics of use impose their own limitations.
Today under the brand EDIC mini more than 40 models of voice recorders are produced. Some of them got into the Guinness Book of Records, others received prestigious awards at international exhibitions of technical achievements.
