Slogan: Driving inspiration
branded Falken tire classes like Ultra High Performance and High Performance for passenger cars are produced. The company's portfolio also includes tires for trucks, buses and SUVs.
Falken was created in 1983 by a Japanese company Ohtsu Tire and Rubber. With its “western” (there is a clear stylization of the German word "falke" – "falcon") it owes its name to the desire of the founders to enter the world market, for which a simple and memorable name is simply needed. Falken was originally created as a flagship brand, which remains to this day, so the name had to be chosen accordingly.
It was possible to enter the North American market already in 1985.
In 2003 Ohtsu Tire and Rubber was taken over by another Japanese tire manufacturer - the company Sumitomo Rubber Industries (SRI), which now owns all rights to the trademark Falken. Together with the brand Dunlop Tires, also owned SRI, Falken is part of the group Falken Tire Corporation, headquartered in Fontana, California (Fontana, California).
Tires Falken selected as standard on vehicles by some Japanese manufacturers: Daihatsu, Subaru и Suzuki.
Falken Tire Corporation actively engaged in the sponsorship of various sports, such as Formula D. Tires are popular Falken and among street racers.
