Japanese manufacturer of amateur and professional photographic equipment, as well as accessories and consumables for it. In addition, the company produces various information carriers, paper for printers, film for x-rays, and the like.
The history of this manufacturer began in the 30s of the last century, when the head of the company Dainippon Celluloid Company, which was mainly engaged in the production of celluloid, decided to launch the release of film. To do this, Mokichi Morita founded an independent company in January 1934. Fuji Photo Film Co. Her office was located near the sacred Mount Fuji, which was reflected in the name and the first logo.
Cinema came to the Japanese masses, and an acute shortage of film made this business profitable. However, the first film produced in the Land of the Rising Sun was, to put it mildly, far from perfect. I had to turn to German specialists. Morita did not stint and invited Emil Mayerhoff (Emile Meyerhoff) - the leading specialist in those years. Thanks to the latter, it was possible to establish the production of really high-quality products - black and white film by the end of the 30s and color by the beginning of the 40s.
After the war, which they managed to survive more or less safely, the company decides to start producing photographic equipment. The best German samples were taken as a basis (other Japanese companies did the same). This is how lenses are made fujinon and cameras Fujica. From the name of the latter, it immediately becomes clear whose developments were the basis. Even the principle of constructing the name is similar to what was used in the original: Leica - Leinz Canmera, Fujica – Fuji Camera. In the future, with the advent of digital cameras, a brand appears FinePix.

The company's cameras have won their market share and become quite popular all over the world. The truth of the success of products of other Japanese companies (Canon, Olympus, Nikon) could not be repeated. However, developments fujifilm have been repeatedly used by many camera manufacturers - for example, sensors for digital cameras and electronic filling.
Over the years of the company's existence, many subsidiaries have been founded in all parts of the world, eminent brands have been created (for example, FinePix - digital cameras, Fujicolor - film). Modern holding Fujifilm Holdings Corp. was founded in September 2006 - it includes two groups of companies: FUJIFILM Corporation и Fuji Xerox (founded in 1960 as a joint venture with Xerox for the production of copiers, and later printers).
Headquarters Fujifilm Holdings Corp. located in Tokyo, Japan (Tokio, Japan).
