The brand was founded on November 3, 1983. This trademark is owned by a Taiwanese company KYE Systems Corp., headquartered in Taipei. Initially, the company's "mouse" orientation was indicated by its logo - the inscription "Genius", where the letter "G" was stylized as an ordinary mouse (in the sense of an animal). The main products of the company in those years were computer mice. In the future, in connection with the development of the brand and the start of the release of a wide variety of products under it, it was decided to change the logo to a less bright, but more abstract and universal one.
Genius, KYE Systems does not work on its own. She is collaborating with well-known companies such as Hewlett Packard, Philips, Siemens, Microsoft.
