"Now there is an easier way to plan and organize your travels!" is how a new Google blog post begins.
The company is launching a special Trips portal, which brings together all existing Google services for lovers of independent travel.
“Our goal is to make it easy to plan your trip by helping you quickly find the most useful information and find out where you left off, using any device. We will do our best to make travel planning as easy as possible using Google maps, global search and google.com/travel. All you have to do is start your trip and enjoy the world,” commented Google.
As part of the development of the travel project Google launches full desktop version of Trips. A mobile application of the same name that allows you to receive information about upcoming trips offline on your smartphone was introduced back in 2016.
On the google.com/travel portal, you can now perform a simple search for travel queries and get the most available information from various sources in one place. At the same time, all trip details, search results, places and hotels saved on the map, and current bookings will be available in Trips. Today, at google.com/travel, you can find out the weather anywhere in the world for upcoming trips or for the future, as well as make changes to your travel schedule online.
The company will also soon provide the ability to manually add new bookings to the travel calendar. “The page will also automatically load other useful information, including popular restaurants near your hotel and events taking place in the city on the days of your visit,” the message says. For several months, Google Maps will also store travel information, including recent bookings.
