The watch, which appeared as a result of cooperation between the British group and the Japanese company, is already available for sale.
Consumers will be able to choose from two classic models inspired by the band's albums. For example, the DW-5600 watch, with Bluetooth connectivity, is colored using blue and pink colors taken from the cover of the band's recently released The Now Now album. Album elements are also engraved on the back of the watch. This model comes in a tin box with the same design.
And the camouflage design of the GA-2000 is inspired by the band's first album. These watches will be delivered in cardboard boxes, also with camouflage design and recognizable Gorillaz cartoon characters painted on them. This model comes with a darker replacement strap.
The watch is already on sale for approximately $190. They can be purchased online or in G-Shock branded stores. The series is limited, but the number of hours included in it is not indicated.
This is not the first collaboration between Gorillaz and G-Shock. Last year, a similar limited series of watches was already available to consumers. Then it was timed to coincide with the 35th anniversary of the G-Shock brand. The 2018 collection proved to be very popular, and its success led to the current one.
And at the beginning of 2019 Gorillaz collaborated with Levi's, which resulted in a collection of clothes, the design of which could be chosen by the buyers themselves when buying online. The band also collaborated with sportswear manufacturer Burton.
