The luxury fashion house has announced its first pet collection.
Prices for dog clothes are comparable to classic Gucci closet items. For example, a dog bed is offered to fans of the brand for up to $7,500.
Carriers made of luxurious fabric with the GG monogram and chinaware decorated with the logos of the fashion brand, as well as leather collars and leashes with gold fittings, appeared on sale.
Gucci designers also took care of clothes for the pets of their customers. The collection includes a plaid coat with zip pockets, a wool sweater with a strawberry print and even a cotton polo for cats and dogs of different sizes.
Accessories included in the unusual collection include nursing mats, leather cases for AirTags and bistro-style bowl lids to keep food warm.
The fashion for clothes for cats and dogs is experiencing explosive growth. Last year, the creation of collections for four-legged worked, including Collina Strada and Ashley Williams. Cult brands Prada, Miu Miu, Celine and Moschino are preparing to present their creations of clothing for dogs.
Meanwhile, the global pet market is projected to reach $37 billion by 2025, according to WWD. Millennials are looking to spend more on their beloved pets, while a growing number of companies are creating pet-friendly environments in their offices.
