The main role in the fate of the company was played by Henry (Mr. Henry, as his friends and acquaintances called him, apparently unable to pronounce his last name), a Pole by origin, a soldier of the Polish army, a former prisoner of a military camp, who after the Second World War settled in Manchester. In his new homeland, he worked in the textile industry. Then he drew attention to the innovative qualities of a new synthetic material called Bri-Nylon. It was this fabric that formed the basis of the first clothes that were sewn by the new company. I only had to solve a few problems. For example, with the waterproofing of clothes at the seams, which Henry did brilliantly.
