The capsule for H&M was developed by the digital and virtual fashion platform DressX.
Swedish fashion giant H&M is launching its first ever virtual collection of apparel and accessories. The capsule was created in partnership with actress and brand ambassador Maisie Williams.
The collection includes three images created entirely in digital format. Their owners will be three winners of the "Virtual Fashion" contest, which runs from 10 to 31 January.
To enter the competition, H&M invites its customers to come up with an “innovative and fun” name for one of the looks presented on the official website. The names of the winners will be selected by a jury of experts from the USA, India, Japan, Great Britain, France and Germany. Their names will be made public in early February.

The first virtual clothing collection for H&M was developed by the digital and virtual fashion platform DressX. The concept of the project is that the owner of a digital asset will be able to provide his own photos to the designer, after which completely digital outfits will be “sewn” according to his individual parameters. The winner will receive a photo of themselves wearing H&M virtual clothing, complete with animation effects, which they can use to share on social media.
The H&M digital collection, as mentioned above, includes three looks. This is an “oversized vest” made of “impossible” fabric, iridescent with floating colors and combined with a jumpsuit. Also “an orange sequined jersey that can be worn as a dress or oversized sweater.” And finally, “baggy trousers in a bright red luminous shade, combined with a cropped sweatshirt.” The capsule can be found on the H&M website in the "Virtual Fashion" section.
