Huawei may introduce its own operating system Hongmeng OS this week.
Reporters claim that Huawei will introduce Hongmeng OS at the Huawei Developer Conference 2019, which starts this week on Friday, August 9, in Dongguan, China. There has been no confirmation from the company itself.
The Chinese edition of Global Times claims that the architecture of Hongmeng OS will allow you to use this system on almost any device. In addition, this system, built on the basis of a microkernel, will allow "better processing of tasks related to artificial intelligence." This contradicts an earlier statement from Huawei executives, who said Hongmeng OS is meant for IoT devices, not smartphones at all.
Global Times also claims that a smartphone with the Hongmeng OS operating system is under development. Moreover, it has already reached the stage of testing. Officially, this device can be presented simultaneously with the flagship Huawei Mate 30 Pro later this year. Sales should start towards the end of this year. The novelty will belong to the entry-level segment and its cost will be approximately $280.
Do not forget that there is no official confirmation of this information yet. However, everything indicates that Huawei is very actively working on Hongmeng OS. And the Chinese company has every chance to create a solution that can challenge Aindroid. All this will allow Huawei to become more independent from the vagaries of American politics. In any case, we will be able to check the Global Times report very soon.
