IKEA has teamed up with the American consumer electronics brand Sonos to present the first music speaker in the form of a floor lamp. The new device is called Symfonisk.
The floor lamp can act as a home theater device. The inventors also noted that a pair of Symfonisk can be used as a stereo system. In addition, the floor lamp can be connected to a smartphone.
The lampshade of the IKEA x Sonos floor lamp is made of bamboo, the color of which can be chosen when ordering. On the body of the device there are buttons to control the device, allowing you to turn on music and adjust the volume. The speaker charges from a regular wall outlet.
The floor lamp fits into the IKEA smart home system and is capable of connecting to other devices through the Matter protocol. The audio speaker will go on sale in January 2023, at a price of $260.
