Today it became known that the largest Chinese aircraft manufacturer China Aviation Industry General Aircraft (CAIGA) plans to acquire an American company cirrusthat specializes in small aircraft for private use.
The deal has already been called historic. Indeed, this is the first time that a Chinese aircraft manufacturer has bought out an aircraft manufacturer in the United States. And, far from being random, cirrus is the second largest manufacturer of similar aircraft models in the country, second only to Cessna. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. We only know that it should be completed in the second half of this year. It can be called an example of the ever-increasing economic power of China.
