The popular Band-Aid patches, available in shades to match different skin tones, will be available next year.

In my Instagram post Johnson & Johnson showed an image of Band-Aid patches in colors ranging from beige to dark brown. In the caption, the company expressed support for all those who fight against racism and injustice and announced its plans to launch a line of patches that would "embrace the beauty of skin of different colors." The post also states, “We are determined to take proactive action to create tangible change for the black community.”
The release of the new line is scheduled for 2021. Band-Aid will be available in light, medium and richer shades of brown in the brand's most popular format, Flexible Fabric.
In 2005, the company already presented a similar solution. Then Band-Aid went on sale under the Perfect Blend brand. This line, as well as the one planned for release next year, contained patches of different skin colors. However, due to lack of active demand from customers, Perfect Blend was discontinued.
Under the new conditions, the company assumes that the need for such a product will be higher. In addition, the new patches will significantly differ from the previous attempt with improved characteristics, as well as increased elasticity and wearing comfort.
Today, Johnson & Johnson produces transparent patches that can be used by people with different skin colors, and the company's assortment includes kits that also have dark shades.
