As you know, choosing a name for a child sometimes becomes a real headache for parents. However, the Egyptian Jamal Ibrahim (Jamal Ibrahim) did not suffer from a choice. He named his newborn daughter simply Facebook.
The local newspaper reported Al Arham. However, one should not think that the reason for this is that Jamal is obsessed with the popular social network. The fact is, as the lucky young dad said, Facebook played a huge role in bringing down Hosni Mubarak's regime. The actions of the rebels were coordinated through a social network. Another popular system was also used - Twitter. Upon learning of this, the government closed access to these services, and then turned off the Internet altogether. But it was already too late. A regime that had lasted nearly three decades was overthrown.
Now Facebook used for a different purpose - the Egyptians send each other congratulations and postcards. By the way, this country is the leader in the Arab world in terms of the number of social network users. In one only Facebook sits more than 5 million Egyptians.
We already wrote once that social networks can be used by special services. However, as we see, these services sometimes become a serious weapon for revolutionaries.
