At least that's what the analytics company thinks. ABI Research. According to its analysts, the number of mobile devices (phones, netbooks, game console players...) will at least double in the next five years.
At least 1.2 billion units are expected to be sold by the end of this year alone. In 2014, sales volumes will reach at least 2.25 billion units.

At the same time, the main jump will not happen in the environment of mobile phones and smartphones. The fact is that this market is already very saturated. But among mobile Internet devices (MID), we should expect, if not an explosion in popularity, then at least a steady growth. So far, the popularity of these devices has been constrained by the tariffs of mobile operators, which set exorbitantly high or unprofitable tariffs for using mobile Internet. However, over time operators will have to give in and prices will drop.
