Kraft Foods, one of the world's largest food producers, will split into two companies. Representatives of the concern announced that food and snacks, or so-called snacks, will now be produced separately. The final division is planned to be completed by the end of 2012, and the company will need almost a year to carry out all the restructuring processes.
It is not yet known what the two future companies will be called, and the question of who will manage each direction is also being decided. The company that will deal with snacks will take over such well-known brands as cookies oreo, chocolate Cadbury, chewing gum Trident and many others. And that part Kraft Foodsthat will produce food, brands like Maxwell House, Jell-O, Capri Sun, Kraft Macaroni & Cheese, Philadelphia cheeses etc. The grocery business is planned to be concentrated mainly in the North American region.
It is expected that the division of the concern will favorably affect the further development of the business, it will be easier for individual management teams to implement their plans and operate with fewer resources.
