This German manufacturer of all kinds of power tools began its activity in 1928. The initial products were electric motors for washing machines. It was founded by a certain Christian Kress, a very talented person with technical ingenuity. It was thanks to his ideas that a small production managed to become a world-famous manufacturer over time. And it all started with a small production in the town of Lustnau in the administrative district of Tübingen, on the land of Baden-Württemberg (Lustnau, Tübingen, Baden-Württemberg).
The company, by the way, remains a family business to this day. Faithful to the precepts of his grandfather, the grandson of Christian, who now owns the production, puts a lot of effort into the development of new technologies, thanks to which it is possible to create truly competitive solutions. KRESS holds a large number of patents.

The first power tools appeared later - their production began in 1964. By that time, the company had already mastered the production of electric motors for a wide variety of equipment, including coffee makers. To date, the widest range of power tools is produced, designed for a variety of needs.
All products KRESS assembled exclusively in Germany and Switzerland. A subsidiary in Switzerland was established in 1979. It's called CEKA Elektrowerkzeuge AG + Co. KG, and "CEKA" - This is an abbreviation of the first letters of the name and surname of the founder. The manufacturer does not miss the opportunity to once again proudly remind that «Made by KRESS» - This "Made in Germany / Switzerland". At the same time, the company is not large in size - its staff ranges from several hundred people, despite the fact that hundreds of thousands of tools are produced per year. Some products come with a warranty of up to ten years (minimum warranty is 2 years).
Since 1960, the company has been headquartered in Bisingen, also in Baden-Württemberg.
