The American company Krispy Kreme Donuts, Inc., which specializes in donuts and owns a chain of coffee shops for their sale, announced the opening of a new type of store.

The changes will not affect the appearance, but the functional side. In particular, the menu has been expanded to include milkshakes with donuts on top and ice cream sandwiches. Also, shoppers can now create their own donut by mixing and matching five different icings, a dozen toppings and five flavors.
The store has also become more advanced from a technical point of view. It has updated storefronts, digital screens with menus, and some other technical improvements. Buyers can now place an order online, there is a place for issuing orders to couriers of delivery services.
According to Andy Skehan, president of the company in North America, the new store builds on the rich heritage of Krispy Kreme, but at the same time takes into account the ever-increasing expectations of customers. According to him, this is the place where you can buy both "the world's favorite donuts", created according to time-tested recipes, and donuts made according to the latest recipes.
A new type of store has opened in Concord, North Carolina. Krispy Kreme plans to open 45 new locations across the US by 2020. The last time the donut chain updated its stores was over 10 years ago.
