As a result of the collaboration of sports brands, a completely new model of Instapump Fury Boost sneakers has been created.
Against the backdrop of the popularity of sneakers around the world and the growing technology in this market, today it becomes possible what we could not even dream of a few years ago. So, today, combining their iconic technological developments, sports brands Reebok and Adidas create a fundamentally new Instapump Fury Boost silhouette.
Until today, most brands have worked exclusively for themselves, in an effort to be the first to provide consumers with truly unique products. Reebok and Adidas, which were under the control of the same corporation, developed in a similar way - their products remained completely independent of each other.
Introduced in 1994 by the legendary Steven Smith, the Instapump Fury pushed the limits of what was possible in the world of athletic footwear and has been a favorite of the Reebok Classic lifestyle brand ever since. This model underlined Reebok's achievements over the past years and became its flagship, which embodies the brand's achievements today.
Adidas, in turn, presented Boost technology in 2013, combining the benefits of soft and elastic cushioning. A couple of years later, the technology became incredibly popular with Kanye West's X adidas Yeezy line and the Ultra Boost model.
“When the Instapump Fury was released in 1994, there was no other athletic shoe like it. Even today it seems like an ambitious experiment,” said Kelly Hibler, CEO Reebok classic. “After 25 years, the Instapump Fury is ready for a rethink. Celebrating the heritage of Instapump and the cushioning of Boost technology, Instapump Fury Boost is here to be for a whole new generation."
Reebok and Adidas are planning to release three shoe options that will highlight the heritage of Fury and Boost technologies. Their debut will take place on October 5, 2019 at the annual atmosCon in Japan, one of the biggest events in the sneaker market. Only 50 pairs of shoes will be presented in total, with an increased batch of sneakers expected to go on sale in late 2019/early 2020.
