Danish toy manufacturer LEGO has unveiled a special "Central Perk" building set inspired by the cafe of the same name from the cult series "Friends".

Official sales of the new product will begin worldwide from September 1, 2019. The release of "Central Perk" is timed to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the premiere of the first season of the television series.
The LEGO Central Perk box will feature detailed coffee shop interiors replicating the real establishment from Friends, as well as figurines of the main characters of the series - Chandler Bing, Monica Geller, Rachel Green, Ross Geller, Joey Tribbiani, Phoebe Buffay and Gunter. The iconic sofa, armchair and two chairs included are "removable for easy play," according to a press release.
The set also includes the possibility of creating special scenes, in particular, Phoebe performing songs on guitar with Ross accompanying on the synthesizer. AT LEGO set offers authentic items such as coffee machine, cookie jar, coffee shop menu board, and more. The recommended age for the game, indicated on the manufacturer's website, is from 16 years.

The designer of the new product was the Frenchman Americ Fevo, who is a big fan of TV series, movies and cartoons, as well as LEGO products. “The challenge was to visualize passages from the series in order to recreate the furniture and characters in as much detail as possible. The assembly of this model took me about a week,” commented the author.
The price of the collection set "Central Perk", which will include 1079 elements, will be 69.99 euros. The constructor will be sold both in the Lego retail network of monostors and in the company's branded online stores. The assembled model of the coffee house will measure 11x29x22 cm.
