The goal of the Levi's and New Balance collaboration is to create sneakers that incorporate all the most interesting things that these famous brands have.
It was based on the classic New Balance 1300 model, which celebrates its 35th anniversary this year. Sneakers to be produced at the factory new balance in Scovegan, Maine, will be made from Levi's clothing materials. This is White Oak XX52 denim and suede, reminiscent of the branded back patch on jeans. The sneaker will also feature a number of bright orange accents, including New Balance's iconic "N" and an orange tag from New Balance. Levi's, like those used on the back pocket of jeans, on the outside of the sneaker. Another highlight of the new shoe will be the 'Levi's for Foot' tag, featuring graphic elements from both brands.
The result was not just very beautiful, it absorbed all the most interesting things that the legendary brands that created it have. The shoes were presented as "authentic American sneakers". Joe Grondin, New Balance Collaboration Manager, said the company is “excited to bring together two iconic American brands that are of equal quality and craftsmanship.”
Grondin also emphasized that New Balance was the first shoe manufacturer to use the orange Levi's tag on its products. It should be noted here that the Orange Tab first appeared on the famous jeans in the 60s, as an addition to the classic red tag, used since 1936 on the iconic 501 model. Then the orange color was forgotten for a while. Again, such tags appeared on Levi's clothes a few years ago.
The Levi's x New Balance 1300 will be available March 26 at Levi's and New Balance Stores and select partners. They can also be purchased through the Levi's mobile app. The cost of new sneakers is quite democratic and is $200.
