Lexus x adidas S.E.E.D. present the 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' Lexus RX 500h F Sport.
Lexus introduced a unique version of the luxury SUV RX 500h F Sport, inspired by the Marvel Studios movie "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever."
The project partners were the adidas S.E.E.D. School of Experimental Design Education, Calty Design Research and 3D printing company Carbon.
“The all-new RX 500h is part of our expanding Lexus Electrified portfolio with evolved innovative technology that elevates the driver’s experience,” said Michael Moore, General Manager, Lexus International.
The new SUV is in Wakanda purple with diamond patterns on the hood and F Sport lettering in the fictional Wakanda alphabet. The SUV's interior design was created by adidas S.E.E.D. and Calty Design Research, who studied the history and creative processes of the Japanese car brand.
Future-oriented design, textures and materials were used in the interior. The car seats and steering wheel are covered in gold prints, and the tactile areas are marked with 3D-printed Carbon material. Joint adidas and Lexus branding elements are present on the headrests.
At the same time, the project presented a limited batch of T-shirts designed by adidas S.E.E.D. The design is based on the phrase “Educate a Woman, Educate a Nation,” written in the Wakandan language.
