The LG Art Lab platform allows customers to buy and sell NFTs directly from TV.
South Korean brand LG Electronics announced the opening of the NFT marketplace. A platform called LG Art Lab allows customers to buy and sell NFTs directly from their TV.
LG announced the launch of the new platform on its Twitter account. The company noted that the app will include “a highly curated selection of world-class artists from around the globe” that will be integrated into LG TVs, desktops and mobile devices.
“LG proudly presents LG Art Lab, our NFT marketplace that will host a highly curated selection of world-class artists from around the globe. We are excited to introduce our inaugural artist, BarryXBall, to highlight LG Art Lab’s premier artists,” the company’s press office commented.
All TV owners using webOS 5.0 or later will have access to the marketplace. The application runs on the Hedera network and uses the built-in Wallypto wallet to store digital assets.
Users will be able to purchase NFTs from LG Art Lab by scanning a QR code or using a wallet. In the future, the platform will develop and offer its customers new ways to buy. NFTs will be added to the marketplace on a monthly basis. The first collection from BarryXBall will be available from September 22nd.
