The long-awaited collection is scheduled for release in the first week of January.
Louis Vuitton presented a collection of bags and accessories created in partnership with Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama.
This spring, LV teased a new collaboration, and now they’ve given a closer look at the pieces included in the collection. Among the most anticipated accessories of the past year is a classic black bag hand-painted by Kusama. In a new interpretation, it’s decorated with the famous multi-colored polka dots.
The previous Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama collaborations were shown at Art Basel Miami. The new collection will feature not only bags and accessories, but also ready-to-wear, suitcases and fragrances.
The collection will be released in two parts. It is known that Drop 1 will include Kusama's models "Painted Dots", "Metal Dots", "Infinity Dots" and "Psychedelic Flower". The release is scheduled for January 1 in Japan and China, and will be available in other countries from January 6.
Drop 2 will arrive in Louis Vuitton branded stores on March 31. As part of the campaign, boutiques will receive an unusual design with elements of augmented reality, and pop-up stores of the brand will be opened all over the world.
