Louis Vuitton has unveiled a new ad featuring two of today's greatest soccer players, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
In a photo posted by LV on the opening day of the World Cup in Qatar, the all-time leaders of Argentina and Portugal pose at a chessboard on a luxurious Louis Vuitton Damier case.
The ad campaign was called "Victory is a state of mind." Thus, the authors of the advertisement are hinting that the game of football takes its strategic foundations from chess.
For Louis Vuitton, this is not the first attempt to unite great soccer players. In the past, the fashion house released an advertisement in which football legends of the last century - Pelé, Maradona, as well as Zinedine Zidane - met at a foosball table.
As for the new ad, it will go down in history as the first time Messi and Ronaldo found themselves face to face together. Judging by the number of comments on social networks, football fans around the world were pleased with such an unusual gift that LV made on the eve of the World Cup.
