Lumix - the brand under which digital cameras are produced Panasonic.
The history of the line began in 2000, when an agreement was concluded between the Japanese Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. (then Panasonic was just a brand owned by this company) and the German Leica Camera AG. Japanese electronics and German optics turned out to be a good combination (at least so many camera users claim Lumix).

The first model appeared already in 2001. Over time, the range has expanded - now it includes both simple models for undemanding users, and SLR cameras.
Since the end of 2010, under the brand Lumix company Panasonic also introduced smartphones equipped with a high-resolution camera.
