The partnership with rapper and singer Travis Scott (known under the pseudonym Cactus Jack) turned out to be very successful for the fast food chain.
What can I say, representatives McDonald's note that due to the popularity of the Travis Scott Meal menu, there are shortages of ingredients at some locations. And at the moment the company is busy solving these unexpected problems. Note that there were no interruptions in the supply of ingredients from McDonald's even in the most difficult periods of the pandemic. Demand for the Travis Scott Meal was especially high in Houston, Scott's birthplace, as well as in Los Angeles.
This shortage is especially notable because the Travis Scott Meal menu does not contain any special ingredients and is made up of the usual dishes available at McDonald's - this is Quarter Pounder with cheese, bacon and salad, as well as french fries, barbecue sauce and sprite. In fact, it all came down to changing the packaging and positioning.
Collaboration with Travis Scott started in early September. This is the second time in McDonald's history that the chain has created a hamburger in honor of a celebrity. The first case occurred back in 1992, when a menu dedicated to the legendary basketball player Michael Jordan was presented.
Travis Scott Meal will be available until October 4th. Earlier it was reported that the proceeds from the sale of this menu will go to charity. Interestingly, before they started selling, McDonald's did a special briefing for employees so that they understand when customers say things that only make sense to Scott fans.
