The fast food giant announced a collaboration with k-pop group.
The South Korean division of McDonald's has officially announced a collaboration with the musicians of the k-pop band Newjeans. The company unveiled the first teasers featuring "Attention" in 16-bit format and an animated clip showing "Golden Arches" with bunny ears.
The photo posted on the brand's social media shows the band members Minji, Hannie, Danielle, Haeryn and Hayne in front of the corporation's logo. The video accompanying the collaboration also features the group's mascot, Matoki.
This is not the first such collaboration in South Korea for McDonald's. Last year the company ended its partnership with BTS musicians.
As part of the new collaboration, McDonald's x NewJeans will release a specially designed crispy chicken burger in collaborative packaging. Fans of the band will also be offered exclusive merch dedicated to the work of NewJeans. The official release is scheduled for March 2.
