Nestlé's Starbucks creamer will now come in 100% recyclable packaging.
Some time ago Nestle и Starbucks announced the conclusion of an agreement in which the food manufacturer introduced a range of 24 Starbucks-branded products for home consumption. In addition to coffee and tea, the range of products also includes cream. It seems to be nothing special, but one interesting feature of this product has become known.
The fact is that the container for this cream, as well as the label applied to it, are made from 100% recyclable materials. This is the first American Nestlé product to feature innovative, 100% recyclable plastic packaging. And this is just the first step. The company has previously announced its intention to finally switch to recyclable or reusable packaging by 2025.
According to Nestlé, the process of creating a new package was not an easy one. The main problem here was the tight deadlines, during which it was necessary not only to develop a container of a non-standard shape, but also to select the most suitable materials, including for the label. The line of cream contains several traditional flavors - caramel, white chocolate and cinnamon. It is very likely that their number will be increased in the future.
Recently, many well-known and not so well-known companies have begun to pay much more attention to the recycling of materials in order to reduce the use of plastic. So, we have already written about intention adidas 100% recycled plastic by 2024. And the Marriott hotel chain has decided refuse disposable packaging for cosmetics.
