For a little over a year, the Ovi Files service managed to exist, which provided users with shared access to remote files. Its extremely low popularity led to the fact that Nokia was forced to announce the termination of work in this direction.
The service will cease to exist on October 1 of this year. The company announced this to all users in its newsletter. All files that have already been downloaded will not be deleted and users will still be able to access them through Nokia Ovi Suite. The application for working with Ovi Files must be uninstalled.
Work on Ovi Files began back in 2007, when Nokia acquired the company Avenue, whose technologies became the basis of the service.
This is not the first service that the Finnish company closes due to low popularity. It seems that the Nokia Ovi idea itself was not as brilliant as we were told earlier.
